How Do I Register?
You may find it helpful to review and/or print these instructions
before completing the Contractor Registration Form.
General Information
- You will be required to provide your e-mail address and to
create a password to reach the contractor registration form. Any
time you access the site after you are registered, you are
required to enter your e-mail address and password.
- If you have multiple Washington State Contractor licenses
you must register each license separately. This requires a
different e-mail address and/or password.
- All
fields with an asterisk (*) preceding them are required fields.
Completing the Registration Form
- Enter your e-mail address. We send confirmation to you by
e-mail once you are verified to use the site.
- Enter your company name. This should be the same name used
when obtaining your Washington State contractor license.
- Enter the house number. This is the business/building
address (example: 1122).
- Enter the street name. This is the street address (example:
Main St).
- Enter the apartment or suite (example: Suite 405).
- Enter the city (example: Kirkland).
- Enter the state. This is the two-character state
abbreviation (example: WA).
- Enter the zip/postal code. This is the 5 or 9 digit zip
code.
- Enter phone 1. This is the primary phone number; include the
area code and hyphens (example: 425-587-3600).
- Enter phone 2. This is an alternate contact phone number;
include the area code and hyphens (example: 425-587-3651).
- Enter State license #. This is your Washington State license
number (example: CARLS*322PG). Visit the
Washington State Department of Labor and Industries web site
if you don't have your registration card on hand.
- Enter expires. This is the date your Washington State
license expires (example: 12/31/02).
- Please be aware most cities require contractors to apply for
a city business license prior to obtaining permits.
- Enter State UBI #. This is your Washington State Unified
Business Identification number (example: 128037747).
- Read the certification statement. To obtain permits from
this site, you are required to agree to work within the scope of
your Washington State contractor license. If you agree, select
AGREE & SUBMIT. If you don’t agree, select RESET. Selecting the
RESET option clears the registration form.
What Happens Now?
Once the contractor registration information is submitted, it is
sent to each jurisdiction for verification and approval. This
verification process takes approximately 2 business days for
completion. Check your Contractor Profile (choose "Edit Your
Contractor Profile" on the Welcome Page) to see your status. You may
start applying for permits in a city as soon as the specific city
has approved you.
How Do I Change My Contractor Profile (Registration)?
From the main page, under Contractor Options, click on
Edit Your Contractor Profile. You have access to change the
following information:
- E-mail address
- Password
- Phone number
If you need to change any other information in your profile,
please send a completed Feedback Form outlining the changes you
would like to make.
