Welcome to our regional website where together as a group of government agencies, we hope to both excite and challenge you in helping to reduce impacts on our environment.  This is particularly important because buildings have a tremendous impact which include 38% of our carbon dioxide emissions, 39% of our energy use;  77% of our electricity consumption; 41% of our water use; 60% of non industrial waste and 40% of raw material use.  These impacts alone are substantial.
